Technical data: The plant was built 1977 and produces heat for the university hospital of Innsbruck. The concessioned heat output is approx. 48 MW based on natural gas. Project target is to connect the heating station to the TIGAS district heating network to reduce approx. 3 Mio. m3 of natural gas. The district heating system is mainly based on renewables and waste heat from industry.
